THE TERRY HARRISON VISIT

 8-9 APRIL2011

On Friday and Saturday 8-9 April 2011 we had the long awaited pleasure of a visit by the well known Gloucestershire Artist Terry Harrison. Friday afternoon, our usual weekly meeting day, was spent learning Terry's techniques and watching two demonstrations of watercolour painting. The first was a landscape of a bridge in the New Forest and the second a Rustic Barn in a Snow Setting. We all had a wonderful day on the Saturday with a further demonstration, followed by a workshop where we all painted the same picture that Terry had just demonstrated, following his expert guidance and advice.

Terry it was very kind of you to travel such a long way to spend the weekend with us, we all enjoyed it tremendously. We learnt a lot from the experience and will no doubt continue to improve our painting skills, especially when we find time to read that book you kept telling us about, what's it called again? Thank you Terry, hope you had a safe journey home. Very best regards to you and Fiona from all at the Ingleby Barwick Art Group.
