Paintings by Ann Cudworth

Ann had a busy life raising her four daughters, who are now all settled into married life, and later as a publican managing a public house in Darlington with her second husband. When she retired in 1998 she discovered a gap in her life and decided she would like to try her hand at painting, the first step was to gain some expert guidance and tuition and to this end she joined a three year water colour painting course run by the Riverside College and held in the Village Hall in Hilton. She later expanded her ambitions and is now a second year student in Acrylic Painting at the college. Her other main interest is travelling and her holidays, to a variety of countries, have given her inspiration to paint a variety of subjects, she loves to paint and gains a great deal of personal enjoyment and satisfaction from her membership of the group.
